To provide accounting support and to ensure that accounting processes tie in within company processes.
Purchase Ledger-
- Process and manage all supplier invoices
- Ensure that product costs and selling prices are updated daily
- Ensure all purchase invoices are approved
- Process credit notes from suppliers
- Ensure suppliers are paid on time
- Contact the appropriate department to expedite your billing request.
- Regularly compare supplier descriptions.
- Process Employee Expenses - Ensure all expenses are authorised and properly encoded in the nominal code.
- Process supplier payments and expenses weekly
- Month-end vendor occurrence
- Perform other appropriate ad-hoc tasks as requested by financial managers.
- Must be flexible about holidays and duties of other team members
- Accounting experience in several companies
Skills and Knowledge
- Good attention to detail
- Be able to follow orders and processes
- Team player
- Knowledge of excel at intermediate level
- Work experience with Sage 50 system is a must , experience in distribution & retail will be an added advantage.
