We have a role for Finance Officer – Accounts Payable at Southampton General Hospital (Tremona Road, Southampton, SO16 6YD).
The team has a responsibility to ensure that we adher to the better payment practice code to ensure our suppliers are paid on time.

In this role you will:
- Provide expert system knowledge of accounts payable and relevant information and guidance
- Develop and improve the relationship with other departments by ensuring quick and effective response to queries and complaints
- Liaise with suppliers, end users and other professionals to ensure obtain specialist technical advice where necessary
- Arrange training programmes for staff
- Assist with statement reconciliations where there are invoices/issues
- To support the team for queries against invoices that are unable to be cleared via the processing and systems team
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate experience of using a payables system to investigate and resolve queries relating to accounts payable invoices on hold due to discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders.
