We’re embracing an agile way of working; this Analytics role will join us on an exciting journey. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Credit Risk Modelling team within the Analytics function. We design and deliver trusted, compliant, and effective credit risk models that are the foundation of provision & capital calculations, credit risk strategy, customer decisioning, product and pricing strategy.
You will be able to:
- Prepare and coordinate MI and reports to support the development, monitoring and management of PD, LGD, EAD - IFRS9 & capital models.
- Run advanced predictive analyses and perform model assessments, validation, and enhancement activities, using predictive analytics' software tools and functionalities.
- Establish rapport, effectively communicating and engaging senior colleagues, managers and stakeholders.
- Maintain sound documentation, produce recommendation and presenting papers to governance committees.
- Work within established model risk/control framework and minimum standards.
The Role
- Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
- Adapt approach and demeanour in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.
- Work without supervision and provide technical guidance when required on reviewing and creating relevant, lucid and effective reports.
- Apply understanding of the business environment and objectives to develop solutions with guidance but not constant supervision.
- Work with guidance (but not constant supervision) to support development and/or optimisation of credit risk, financial and economic models
Technical Skills
- Proven experience within a credit risk or similar financial services/ banking function. Good knowledge of credit risk management and application of credit risk model.
- Strong analytical skills preferably backed with a degree in a numerical subject or proven tracked record of equivalent experience
- Good knowledge of Credit Risk Analytics, Provisions and Capital models- specifically IFRS 9 (PD, LGD , EAD) and AIRB models.
- Proficiency in data extraction, manipulation and analysis . Good working knowledge of programming languages/statistical analysis software ie SAS , SQL and MS Office applications are a must. Knowledge to R and Phyton advantageous.
