This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people within a team that is dedicated to working with unaccompanied asylum seeking refugee children and young people.

At Hampshire County Council, we make our decisions for the right reasons – not to make headline and improve our ratings, but to deliver even better services to children and families across the county. Our ongoing commitment is investing in frontline social work services to better enable us to support and protect Children in Need.

  • You must be a team player and able to support team managers with complex tasks.
  • You should have experience of UASCs, Refugees, Children in Care or Care Leavers. This will be demanding and challenging role and you should be able to support the team with these challenges.
  • A champion of young people you will be promoting and supporting the work of the team whilst assisting the team manager.
  • You will have a social work qualification and will offer substantial post-qualifying experience of complex children and family work including court work, gained in a statutory setting.
