We are looking for a candidate for a period of 12 months to work in the Bereavement Service, to provide practical help and advice to relatives of those who have recently died within the hospital; to include return of property and valuables and to facilitate in the production of the medical certificate of cause of death (MCCD)
To provide good communication to relatives and to ensure that they are contacted as soon as possible following the death of the patient and kept sufficiently up to date
To liaise with Mortuary, Wards and other departments regarding deceased patients
To liaise with Medical Examiners, Medical Examiner Officers and attending practitioners regarding the issuing of the medical certificate of cause of death (MCCD) and pre-cremation certification
