The Role:
Coroners are independent judicial officers who are responsible for investigating violent, unnatural, or sudden deaths. Their role is to establish who has died, and how, when and where they died. Coroners have a duty to investigate a death and if necessary, hold an inquest.

The Administrative Officer role is key to the Service, providing a high-quality admin and front-line support function to the team and the general public. The role reports directly to the Coroner’s Service Development Officer.


We are looking for an experienced admin to join our friendly team who has proven administrative, IT and communication skills. The ability to multi-task, work under pressure and handle complex sensitive data is essential as is attention to detail. Effective call management and communication skills are crucial as you will be in contact with families at a sensitive and difficult time.
