Napthens have new offices in the Plaza building at the heart of the city.

It is indicative of the opportunity here in the Liverpool City Region, and that is reflected in the growth of our local team. Since April, we have grown headcount to twenty, investing in local talent.

There is so much potential in the city region and having a team that has in-depth local knowledge, excellent technical and commercial skills and strong relationships with the local intermediary and funder community, is what underpins our current and future success here.

You will work within our corporate team providing support and expertise to our clients.

We were recently named ‘Mid-size Law Firm of the Year’ and picked up ‘Deal of the Year (£50m+)’ at the recent Northwest Dealmakers Awards, hosted by Insider.

The judges commended the rate of growth at the firm, particularly at its Liverpool office, and highlighted its involvement in transactions involving global brands like JD Sports and Bosch.

The award wins come as Napthens’ corporate team grew revenues by 44 per cent in the last financial year, advising on more than 50 transactions valued more than £600m, and it was also ranked #1 legal adviser for M&A transactions in the Northwest for H1 2022, by Experian Market IQ.

Notwithstanding wider economic challenges, the local M&A market continues to be highly active. Acquisition continues to be the new growth for a lot of our clients, and taking our conversations with funders, trade buyers and owner managers as a barometer, there is more to come.
