Counsellor

Salary: £24,017 per annum (pro-rata)
Hours: 35 per week or 17.5 per week as a job share
(Flexible hours, evenings and weekends will be required)

We are excited to be expanding and developing our Counselling Service over the coming year and are seeking to recruit either one Counsellor working 35 hours, or two Counsellors working 17.5 hours each, to support this.

Based at ellenor Hospice, Coldharbour Road, DA11 7HQ (pattern of work negotiable) and Manor Hotel, Hever Court Road, Gravesend DA12 5UQ for the duration of the Capital Build project.

You will actively support the strategic development of the Counselling Service in order to enable the Counselling Team to offer high quality Counselling and bereavement care to our clients.

You will provide Counselling to clients of all ages who are under the care of ellenor. This will include Face-to-Face Counselling, Counselling via Zoom or Telephone, and in some circumstances will include visiting clients in their homes. You will also support the administrative functions of the Counselling Service, including supporting with the management of referrals and assessments.

You will be an empathic and compassionate individual, with a drive to ensure that our Counselling Service is more than just a ‘tick box’ service. You will have the passion and dedication to ensure that our Counselling Service is the best service it can possibly be, and that each and every one of our clients receives the highest levels of support and service that they deserve.

This post is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance.
