We are looking for a Customer Operations Officer to work within Operations directorate in the Events Management team with responsibility for planning, delivering, and servicing over 2,000 meetings and events annually.

We are seeking highly motivated and committed individuals to join our dynamic team. The successful candidates will be required to support and lead all operational activities and projects to ensure they are run smoothly and efficiently. Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager you will provide leadership, management, training and supervision within the Business Area and be expected to:

  • Lead and manage the planning, implementation, monitoring and control of digital processes and procedures across a specific operational function and platforms to deliver an efficient and effective service while identifying and actioning all operational, financial and reputational risks;
  • Lead, deliver and input to change in relation to continuous improvement initiatives and development projects;
  • Deliver agreed financial targets through effective budgetary control, and identification and implementation of cost efficiencies;
  • Respond to non-standard stakeholder and customer queries and complaints while escalating more complex issues for guidance/resolution;
  • Provide regular detailed reports on progress against the operational plan and budgets including identifying risks and managing solutions through the development of robust management information and trend analyses;
  • Ensure feedback is provided on operational issues which may affect compliance with SQA policies, procedures and reporting requirements.

Qualification, Training and Experience:

Essential

  • Excellent/Advanced MS software knowledge and / or experience (Word, Excel, Project, Teams, sharepoint and Visio).

Applicants, as a minimum, should be educated to SCQF Level 8 (HND or equivalent) and/or be able to demonstrate direct relevant experience for this role. Also role model the behaviours associated with SQA’s values (Trusted, Progressive and Enabling) in order to develop and sustain a productive and positive culture.
