Salary: £25,889 - £29,807 per annum, pro-rata (under review)

This post is necessary to the delivery of SRUC’s Academic strategy. In order to ensure SRUC’s activities are evidence-informed and to meet statutory obligations, appropriate expertise and capacity in data analysis and translation are required.

This post focuses on academic data, data quality and interpreting data to support academic staff to develop and enhance their practice.

The post will have three main areas of activity:

  • Data reporting to internal and external clients
  • Creating accessible reports and identifying trends across a range of data sets – surveys, admissions, student achievement data etc
  • Supporting annual activities such as admissions reporting and forecasting
  • Work under the guidance of the Academic Manager to:
  • Analyse relevant SRUC survey data
  • Collate data packs for all departments on workload allocation
  • Respond to external data requests such as those from SFC, Scottish Government, Universities Scotland etc.
  • Collate data for Freedom of Information (FOI) responses.
  • Identify key factors and trends in data sets such as Admissions data and widening access data.
  • Collate data reports for academic related data such as admissions and progression
  • Support ongoing and new projects with data.
  • Support the Academic Promotions Process via the provision of committee servicing, and production of application packs for reviewers.
