Fixed term contract until 31 December 2024 | £24,120 to £25,616 per annum (Scale H) | 29.6 hours per week | The Shirehall, Norwich

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Museum Development Project Officer, supporting museums across the East of England.
SHARE Museums East is the regional museum development programme www.sharemuseumseast.org.uk . Funded by Arts Council England (ACE) as part of its national Museum Development Programme for 2018-2024, it is managed by Norfolk Museums Service in partnership with local authorities, museums and other stakeholders.
We work closely with Museum Development Officers in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk to deliver programmes supporting excellence, resilience and cooperative working. Our programmes are aligned to Let’s Create , ACE’s strategy for 2020-30, and include grants, training, guidance, networks and major events including conferences.
SHARE Environmentally Responsible Museums is our new two-year project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and ACE. You will be responsible for developing and implementing projects that support museums to become more environmentally sustainable, and to use their collections to engage audiences with the subject of environmental responsibility. The programme will feature a mix of training, bespoke advice and small grants. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
