Food and Nutrition Technician

Part-time: 17.5 hours per week, term-time plus, 36 weeks per year, predominantly during term time.

Working hours: Ideally from 8.30am to 12pm, Monday to Friday, however some flexibility can be offered. Occasional Saturdays may be required which will be managed via TOIL.

Salary: Up to £7,743.05 per annum including 5.6 weeks statutory holiday pay (FTE salary: £21,299 to £22,123 per annum). Starting salary depending on skills, qualifications and experience.

In this key role, you will work under the direction of the Head of Food and Nutrition, helping coordinate the use of resources and facilities and providing assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the Food and Nutrition curriculum. You will source and maintain consumables, ensuring good stock control and assist in practical classes when necessary.

You will have experience of working within a food establishment together with experience of food preparation and ordering/ managing stock. You will possess a positive interest in food and wellbeing together with good IT skills, including Word and Excel. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but not essential.
