FPGA Robotics Hardware Engineer Job at Screenovate
Intel is looking for a talented, highly motivated individual to develop safety-critical and embedded robotics solutions targeting a wide range of applications, using the latest Intel FPGA devices and tools.
The successful candidate will be passionate about developing real-world Embedded solutions with our customers, as well as shaping our future FPGA processing platforms. You will join a tremendously capable worldwide team (based in the UK, US, and Malaysia), who support each other, to develop and deploy next-generation SoC/FPGA systems across many applications including Industrial, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Autonomous Mobile Robotics and Healthcare.
Our engineering teams work closely with customers, understanding their requirements and then developing solutions to their real-world problems.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop optimized reference platforms for broad distribution of robotics solutions using a mix of FPGA SoC development skills
Develop solutions for FPGA-based robotics systems and embedded control systems, using Intel processor + FPGA
Develop solutions using state-of-the-art Functional Safety approaches
Work with strategic customers to develop and deliver applications, benchmarks and solutions, demonstrating the value of the FPGA
Identify the benefits of processor + FPGA solutions compared to other architectures
Collaborate with other Intel teams to develop best-in-class solutions
Develop and follow a strong design process, enabling customers to meet Quality Management System and FuSa standards
Provide input to Intel's future architectures and products
As we move towards a Hybrid working model, you will enjoy flexible working from home and in the Marlow/Basingstoke office, interacting with diverse teams around the world. Creativity and experimentation, with support and without fear of failure, will be encouraged.
Qualifications
MEng in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with excellent resultsFPGA hardware design skills (Verilog/VHDL and system building with IP)
Knowledge of control systems, industrial networking or Robotics
Experience in creating solutions for safety-critical applications
A strong desire to program and promote FPGA SoCs, solving problems along the way
Understanding of embedded systems using CPUs, FPGAs and other hardware
Occasional Business travel

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
