Head of End Point Assessment Service Delivery
City & Guilds are pleased to be offering this newly created position as Head of End Point Assessment Service Delivery.
This Head of Function role takes accountability for the end-to-end service for EPA to ensure a first-class service to customers and will lead on strategic and operational delivery to ensure our growth plans are realised.
Your accountability will cover the various functional teams involved in the delivery of EPA, but you will not have direct line management responsibility for all of the teams involved in delivery, but you will lead the EPA events booking and gateway teams.
We are looking to speak with individuals that have a passion for delivering a consistently high level of customer service in a cost-effective manner. Stakeholder management and relationship building are key to success in this senior level role, and you will need proven leadership skills.

We are flexible on your location, so you can be based anywhere across the UK, however, your team will be based in Burntwood, and you will have stakeholders in London so being closest to one of these locations would be beneficial.

About the role
As a head of function, you will be customer focussed, creating a loyal customer base and delivering a first-class service to those customers. You will achieve this by ensuring clear ownership of key deliverables and ensuring all cross functional teams are aligned to allow for maximum cooperation and effectiveness. You will evaluate customer experience against the customer satisfaction goals to meet and exceed their needs.
A key part of this role will own, develop and shape the operational plan so that it delivers to the 5-year commercial plan for this function. You will deep dive into activities, costs and data that will not only determine the future strategy but also how we are progressing towards current objectives. Also leading on innovation in process and systems to optimise performance, deliver improvements as well as cost savings.
You will take ownership of resources within the function to ensure that it is aligned with current and future business needs.
You will be a natural and proven leader, setting a clear vision, purpose, and priorities for the function. You will provide opportunities for coaching and development, creating an environment for team success and best working practices.
About you
You will be able to evidence leadership skills at this level within an operational or service delivery environment. Your application will also be able demonstrate scaling operational teams to meet growth plans and working cross functionally at a strategic level.
You will have experience in managing large, high-risk projects and have proven track record in the successful delivery of these projects. You will need to have exceptional stakeholder management skills, working at all levels of seniority through both written and verbal communication.
You will possess a strategic mindset, turning ideas into practical plans overcoming any problems or obstacles along the journey.
Ideally you will have knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma process improvement, whether through qualification or by experience.
