About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a Head of Knowledge Exchange to set up our new Knowledge Exchange Office. Working directly with the Director of Knowledge Exchange and the PVC External Relations, you will have the opportunity to create a new Knowledge Exchange function within the University with the opportunity to shape the team, strategy and delivery of our next Knowledge Exchange Strategy to drive a substantial increase in KE activity and HEIF qualifying income.
You will ensure high-quality planning, advice, delivery and project management of all aspects of EHU’s partnership development and local engagement, including responsibility for programmes and activities, ensuring that they are compliant with contractual requirements and internal procedures, and that they deliver the required outputs. You will also manage the web based KE portal, which will be developed following sector good practice, in order to put prospective external clients in touch with University experts.
About You
As Head of Knowledge Exchange, you will:
- · Have experience of leading all or an aspect of a Knowledge Exchange function within an HEI or similar
- · Have detailed knowledge of the Knowledge Exchange environment regionally, nationally with a proven track record of realising partnership working for additional income streams
- · Be able to work across organisations at all levels and demonstrable experience of stakeholder working
- · Be organised, personable and a strategic thinker who can lead and influence affectively
- · Be able to handle data and national reporting requirements with confidence
- · Have the vision to create and build the Knowledge Exchange function within the University
- · Be a good communicator, able to work with people at all levels and function across the University and with external stakeholders
We are particularly interested in candidate with experience in developing CPD, Contract and Commissioned research and Consultancy, KE streams.
