We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic healthcare assistant to join the NHS Ayrshire and Arran area wide Ophthalmology Out-patient and Macular Service. You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
You will be required to assist and carry out glucose monitoring, cannulation, phlebotomy, observations and diagnostic and monitoring ophthalmic testing, on designated groups of patients, in addition to other appropriate duties. You will work over both University Hospital Ayr and University Hospital Crosshouse sites.
A genuine interest in providing a good standard of essential nursing care is essential. An SVQ level III in healthcare or working towards or equivalent experience in a caring/ environment role is essential.
