Highly Specialist Clinical/Counselling Psychologist in Physical Health

North Middlesex University Hospital
PPRUK are working with Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust who require a specialist psychologist to join their team on a 3 month basis.
Job Description:
- To provide a high quality, specialised clinical psychology service to clients in Cardiology services (0.4WTE) and Macmillan Psycho-Oncology Service (0.2WTE) and the HIV psychology service (0.2WTE) at NMUH.
- To provide highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation and therapy at the same time as offering advice, supervision, training and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
- To use research skills for audit, policy, service development and research within the area served by the team/service.
- To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service/team.
Qualifications and experience:
- Good honours degree in Psychology
- Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology, as accredited by the BPS.
- Registered with the Health Professions Council
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings, including, physical health problems, outpatient, community, clinic and in patient settings.
- Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups.
- Demonstrate further specialist training/experience through having received a minimum of 50 hours clinical supervision.
