In this role you will be completing both dimensional & visual inspections of external and internally manufactured components upon arrival. You will ensure the parts conform to the final issue definition before they are passed onto the goods inwards team.

What you will be doing:
You will check all the documentation, including drawings, risk release, concessions & deviation permits in accordance with the Rolls Royce Management System.
  • Perform inspection on incoming and outgoing material using calibrated tooling provided & verifying appropriate documentation.
  • Highlight any non-conformance found and escalate through the appropriate channels.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with the Rolls Royce Management System (RRMS).
  • Ensure your training requirements are current and in date according to A&T standard requirements.
  • Support and adhere to all safety, environmental, and general housekeeping policies.
  • Ensure that work performed is accurately completed to the RRMS standards.
  • Maintain, monitor and control departmental calibration lists and tooling.
  • Work with outside agencies on checking stocks as required.
Who we are looking for:

  • Must have completed an apprenticeship in relevant engineering discipline to minimum City & Guilds level 3/NVQ Level 3
  • Must have the ability to think clearly and make appropriate decisions to ensure product integrity and quality
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and manuals accurately, and able to use measurement tooling
  • Ideally, have a quality and continuous improvement focus
  • Must be numerate, with good PC literacy. Knowledge of SAP & Teamcenter is preferred
  • Must have good team working and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable interfacing with internal colleagues and external visitors
