About The Role
Purpose
As a member of the Investment Management Team, the successful candidate’s overarching role is to progress the integration of ESG factors into the investment process. This will mean developing their knowledge of 7IM’s Strategic Asset Allocation, Tactical Asset Allocation, fund selection and risk management processes.

Responsibilities:
The core role of this team member is to support the integration of ESG factors into the investment process. Tasks will include:
- To assist members of the Investment Management team in selecting investments for 7IM’s ESG mandates
- Assist in engagement campaigns, company votes and collaboration with other industry members
- Assist in monitoring portfolio holdings to ensure compliance with 7IM’s screening criteria
- Facilitate the UN PRI and Stewardship Code submissions.
- To assist the team in keeping up to date with regulatory changes impacting ESG investing
- To lead on ESG due diligence required by external clients
- To analyse select environmental, social and governmental issues in detail, and report on them to the investment team and clients
- To produce data, with background analysis, written or oral, upon request to help in the production of reports and presentations for the team and for marketing requirements.
- Contribute to quarterly client reports and take part in the transmission of investment policy and views internally and externally, in writing or in person.
- To undertake any other tasks from time to time as directed by the line manager
About You
Skills & Knowledge and Experience:
- Numerical accuracy
- Basic knowledge of ESG investing and trends in this area.
- Some background economic and market analysis skills, combined with numeracy and the capability to learn to use judgement and formulate investment actions
- Strong attention to detail and efficient work approach
- Strong interest in, and ability to, work with data; in particular robust Excel skills
- Coding skills and experience would be an advantage
- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience would be an advantage
Qualifications
- Degree or higher degree essential, preferably in a scientific or technical subject (physics, chemistry, engineering, geoscience etc)
- Relevant FCA qualifications would be an advantage.
- Other qualifications attained in the course of working.
