About the team
Working as part of a diverse Information Technology support and delivery team, providing solutions and platforms across the QinetiQ UK business, in support of QinetiQ’s customer mission. Working across a diverse range of systems and technologies, and in support of a varied set of customer requirements, ensuring that the systems needed to deliver business are available and fit for purpose.
You will be joining a team comprising information technology professionals, spanning architecture, engineering, operational support, service management, cyber security and project management disciplines.
What will I be doing?
The primary scope of a Cloud Engineer role is focused on the deployment and upgrade of IT systems and platforms using cloud technologies
You will undertake a variety of tasks, ensuring technical solutions meet business and customer requirements, key areas include:
Building new systems and platforms using a range of technologies
Creating infrastructure as code to enable rapid deployment
Helping to establish continuous development and integration pipelines
Establishing integrations with Software as a Software (SaaS) solutions
You will undetake a Level 4 Apprenticeship in additonal to your on the job work commitments
Academic requirements:
You must have achieved or be predicted a minimum of A- Levels or Level 3 qualification in business or similar
You will need to have attained a minimum of 5 GCSEs, A*-C, 4 - 9 must include Maths, Science, IT, English Language and one other subject
Apprenticeship:
You will undertake a Level 4 Business Analyst Apprenticeship in additional to your on the job work commitments
Additional requirements:
Have a strong interest and/or experience with a range of different information technologies, such as Microsoft Windows and Linux
Passionate about developing a career in the information technology sector and learning about new technologies and how they can support business / organisational outcomes
