Your New Role
Are you a mechanical and electrical professional seeking your next move? Survitec has a fantastic opportunity to assist in the development of the facility infrastructure with the installation of services for the factory/manufacturing functions.
Reporting into the Head of EHS, we have an exciting opportunity to bring on board a maintenance facilities technician on a permanent, full-time basis at our Ellesmere Port site. The role is part of a specialist manufacturing team that manufactures sale, reliable, high quality survivals technology and protective wear for a broad range of customer sectors and needs. This team is focused on driving safety through innovation and production excellence.
You as our maintenance facilities technician will carry out a range of practical maintenance or facilities duties across a range of services including plumbing, carpentry, machine or electrical servicing, plastering and / or painting. You will assess, service, repair and proactively maintain buildings, facilities, plant and equipment to Survitec standard.
What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- You will inspect buildings, plant and equipment to schedule; evaluates the need and scale of any remedial or preventative works; estimate the time and materials required to carry out works
- Work within Survitec Health, Safety and Environmental policy and practices and any external regulation
- Maintain effective records of all works carried out
- Manage day-to-day relationships with a range of stakeholders including production engineering, site managers, finance colleagues, QHSE, third-party production partners and contract service providers while working within an established contract management plan
- Carry out a range of hands-on maintenance and facilities activities; understand the extent of own capabilities and when to request additional or expert support
- Gain or maintain accreditation in own field of specialism; work with Maintenance and Facilities Lead to create and work towards a personal development plan, leading to competence in general facilities management or a specific trade

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have
Essential Criteria
- 1+ years of job-related experience
- Educated to A-level or Further Education College equivalent level
