Male Independent Sexual Violence Advisor Job at First Light UK
Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen within our Devon and Cornwall Sexual Violence service for a Male Independent Sexual Violence Advisor. In this role you will be supporting men who have experienced sexual violence. As per the Equality Act 2010 this role is subject to a Genuine Occupational Requirement, and we can only appoint a male to this role.
Bonus : All successful applicants who join First Light between 1st October 2022 and the 31st March 2023 will receive a pro-rata £1000 non-consolidated payment in recognition of the current cost of living crisis. The amount paid will be determined by the applicants joining date and number of contracted hours’

Key responsibilities:
- Managing a complex caseload
- Working to maintain ISVA Accredited Male Standards with Team Leader
- Contributing to Team Targets
- Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults
- Ability to Manage own Diary
- Working as part of a Team
Essential requirements:
- Full Driving Licence
- Experience of working with people in crisis
- Experience of risk assessments and decision making
- Well developed interpersonal skills (written and oral)
Additional Information: The successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring check and police vetting. Please note that in some roles staff may be required to work from home/office base in accordance with our Hybrid Working policy.
