This role has been categorised as home-based, meaning that you will work from home for the majority of the working week because you can fully deliver services in that way. Although you’ll be a home-based colleague, you might sometimes need to be physically present at another location or be expected to travel to a Thirteen hub for collaborative work.

The Role:

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced management accountant within Thirteen Housing Group. The role is a key position in the management accounts team providing advice and support across all activities of the Group through setting of budgets, production of monthly reports and variance analysis, and liaison with budget holders. You will have specific responsibility for the provision of management accounting services to the repair and maintenance teams, providing timely and accurate management information to help inform business decisions therefore experience in costing systems would be an advantage.

The Person:

You will have experience working in a management accounts environment, with the ability to analyse financial results and provide insight and added value for the business.

You will have the ability to build solid relationships with colleagues and have the confidence to engage effectively with budget holders. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly to non-finance colleagues.

You will have excellent IT skills, particularly excel, and good problem-solving skills with a close attention to detail and ability to analyse and interpret large complex datasets.

The successful candidate will be able to challenge existing processes and support the development and implementation of service improvements to enhance the management accounts service, maximise the use of technology and reporting systems and aid effective decision making.
