About Our Client

Our client is a well-established Manufacturer that has been running for over 100 years. Due to constant growth they are seeking a Management Accountant to join their team in Todmorden. This is a full-time, permanent role which will offer hybrid working.

Job Description

The role has a focus on supporting the operations and commercial management teams, ensuring that the business delivers profitable growth in line with its strategic initiatives. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential as is having a continuous improvement outlook and being motivated to work on their own initiative.

  • Preparing and analysing monthly operational results; working closely with the manufacturing and supply chain teams to explain purchasing price variances and production performance variances.
  • Finance lead for company product costing reviews/changes (across both manufacturing sites).
  • Liaising with Planning team to ensure the appropriate SLOB provisions are maintained.
  • Take responsibility for annual stock-takes across Europe - procedures and booking adjustments.
  • Managing product master data and SAP condition tables in relation to mark-ups, purchasing and freight burden and recovery rates.
  • Supporting the sales team on pricing decisions with costing information.
  • Providing financial support to the engineering, supply chain and operations teams in VA/VE reviews.
  • Participating in the "SAP Sprint" CI improvement process to implement business change and SAP enhancements.
  • Supporting the business areas to prepare capex investment appraisals.
  • Support working capital improvement initiatives.
  • Preparing budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with the Weir Group policies and the Weir Group Code of conduct.
  • Improving reporting capability (using Power BI).
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

  • Part -Qualified ACCA or CIMA.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or similar operations-based business.
  • Integrated ERP system- preferably SAP.
  • Highly competent in using MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel.
