WHAT TO EXPECT
The MPM (Manufacturing Programme Management) department has responsibility for leading & co-ordinating all business functions with the objective of achieving flawless product deliveries, with achievement of time, cost and quality targets, providing the Single Point of Contact for Manufacturing. This requires interaction & co-ordination of Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Finance, Suppliers and the Commercial activities.

The Manufacturing Programme Management function hold a unique position at the heart of manufacturing delivery - from initial feasibility through to detail launch planning and delivery and into volume production.

This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in the E2E Manufacturing Programme environment. You’ll get in contact with an extensive number of areas in the business and provide you with an opportunity to develop and utilise your transferrable project management skills in both the planning and delivery of our new products.

When working within Manufacturing Programme Management, the role of Programme Manager takes on responsibility for managing and challenging key Programme financial and technical metrics, generate summary reports and represent MPM in a structured cadence of Senior Programme Reviews aligned to an Agile Pre-Engineering release and Launch Readiness reviews post Engineering Release.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Delivery:

• Support delivery of Programme against overall timing plan (VPF/ BPP / EPP) from <KO> to <FSR>
• Support the planning and delivery of manufacturing plans for delivery of installation and commissioning, prototype, pre-production build phases and J1
• Prepare & present out accurate and objective technical status reports in support of programme/launch management (PST, MPAT, LMM,) meetings and senior programme gateway reviews (PBR, MPRR, NMLR, MSC, Pre Prod and Prod Committee)
• Utilise standardised project management tools to support a smooth project delivery (including Agile methodologies, P6)

Quality:

• Assist functional areas within MFG to drive quality products & processes with robust input into PFMEA, high hurts, launch quality deliverables etc
• Identify and engage in continuous improvement & standardisation activities within the business improvement team
• Lead the planning and coordination of quality focus area activities
• Lead and coordinate structured problem solving across cross functional teams in preventing and resolving launch issues
• Support all MFG functions in the robust resolution of programme issues (AIMS, Jira Obstacles) to deliver product feasibility and Manufacturing Launch readiness (from KO to FSR)

Cost:

• Co-ordinate cost target development & programme cost studies within MFG
• Analyse & compile manufacturing financial input in terms of CAPEX, OPEX, Tooling and launch costs.
• Co-ordinate Manufacturing responses to Programme PDLs and Change Management requests.
• Support the development and maintenance of the manufacturing programme budgets including implementation and management of SAP WBS structure.
• Provide inputs for monthly finance summary (SOMP)

People:

• Lead cross functional reviews to address programme issues using issue management tools (i.e., AIM2)
• Lead MPAT (Manufacturing Programmes Attribute Team)
• Demonstrate exemplary Customer First Principles to create a positive working atmosphere
• Ability to represent the ‘voice of manufacturing’ & deputise for line manager in senior forums
• Support the improvement of employee engagement & satisfaction (PULSE) within the team

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential:

• Strong communication & leadership skills aligned to Customer First principals

• Adaptable and self-motivating, adapt to new ways of working
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point & Excel)
• Prioritisation of workload within Agile / waterfall

Desirable:

• Introduction to Agile
• Previous Project Management experience, with supervisory capacity
• Experience within the Automotive / Manufacturing sector
• Understanding of manufacturing processes combined with knowledge of Product & Launch processes
• Business & financial acumen & a strong analytical capability
