This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly-formed dedicated workforce that will provide rapid COVID-19, Flu and RSV testing at Lincoln County Hospital.
Candidates may be required to participate in a shift rota that includes days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Additional payment will be given for antisocial hours in line with NHS AfC regulations.
Theseposts have been created to provide a dedicated team that will test samples using small rapid test analysers. This will enable us to support patient flow through the hospital and provide staff testing to ensure patient safety whilst enabling staff to get back to work.
Full training will be given and there are many transferable skills that will be gained for future laboratory roles so these are a brilliant opportunity for those interested in a career in Pathology.
Previous laboratory experience is an advantage but not a necessity.
Initially, these posts are funded until 01/11/2022, but that may be extended. Other laboratory opportunities may also arise.

- The primary role of the post will be to provide laboratory based rapid COVID-19 testing.
- This will support patient flow and maintain hospital Infection Prevention & Control, due to the ability to rapidly assess and cohort patients.
- Other duties commensurate to grade may be added as the COVID-19 testing requirement changes.
