A fantastic opportunity has recently arisen for an Occupational Health Manager to join our team on a full time, permanent basis. In this role you will lead the RNLI Occupational Health and Wellbeing Team that delivers occupational health and wellbeing services across the RNLI that ensure our volunteers and employees remain fit and well to perform the vital roles they fulfil in helping us to achieve our purpose of saving lives at sea.
Undertaking the full breadth of Occupational Health activity this role manages a central team, third party providers and a network of internal stakeholders across the organisation with the aim of ensuring we proactively look after the health and wellbeing of our people.

About the role
The role will be based predominantly onsite at our Support Centre in Poole, Dorset, with options to work remotely, and represents an excellent opportunity for a NMC qualified, experienced Occupational Health Manager to take on a new challenge within their career.
Leading a friendly, supportive team including OH Physician and Advisors, Administrators, and a dedicated Wellbeing team, you will oversee the provision of specialist health advice and assistance to colleagues across the organisation. The department contribute to the management of fitness for work and sickness absence, plus the prevention of work-related ill health in maritime, production and office environments across the UK and Ireland and overseas.
You will provide clinical leadership in all aspects of Occupational Health. Outward facing to the business, you will also be the key interface between management in various business areas and Occupational Health, ensuring that our service meets the needs of the business.
You must have strong organisational, communication and leadership skills, plus the ability to multi-task in a busy changing environment. The ability to work flexibly, manage a team, establish priorities, and adapt to change are also essential.
About you
- Part 3 NMC Registered Nurse with proven managerial experience in occupational health within a medium to large scale multi-site business, including people management experience.
- Previous experience as an occupational health advisor with extensive knowledge in case management and workplace assessments.
- A degree level qualification in occupational health.
