This role is perfect for someone with exceptional organisational skills, who thrives off finding efficient ways of working and working as part of a wider team. The role may be well suited to someone who has worked in education, or in a customer service environment, and is now looking to be in a more administrative role, supporting the running of the nursery with both front of house and office duties, as well as taking online management responsibility for the domestic team in the nursery.

Main responsibilities

  • Keeping the nursery fully compliant with Health & Safety and Environmental Health requirements. As part of this, you will line manage the nursery kitchen and cleaning teams. Relevant training will be provided to ensure you have the tools to excel in your duties;
  • Liaise with the Property and Maintenance team to ensure that the any maintenance issues are addressed and responded to promptly
  • Lead on the implementation of policies relating to data protection.
  • Helping the nursery to deliver a premium customer experience including supporting with initiatives and events designed to engage customers. Be the first point of contact for families over phone and email enquiries.
  • Managing the office with general administrative tasks, responding to Central Support and wider stakeholder queries, meeting internal deadlines and other business priorities;
  • Support with procurement, ensuring nursery spend is well planned and kept within budget
  • Taking ownership of the nursery management software and keeping information updated, including family details and children’s booking patterns;
  • Provide administrative support as required for people processes including note taking in meetings and support gathering employee data as required
  • Greet visitors, contractors and parents to the nursery as required
  • Manage children’s attendance in the nursery management system, working closely with the Regional Administration team to support as required with invoicing, debt management and other parent account queries
  • Own the enquiry management process, including scheduling and booking nursery tours and advising prospective and current parents on fees, funding, and session availability
  • Be mindful at all times of the Storal Safeguarding policy, ensuring any concerns are escalated to the Designated Safeguarding Lead and adhere to all Storal policies and procedures.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of IT systems, including: Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Previous line management experience
  • Positive team player with a can-do attitude and willing to work flexibly
  • Experience having worked in a nursery or school environment, customer facing role or operational role

Terms and Conditions:

Salary: Up to £16,770 per annum based on experience

Salaries are usually reviewed in April. You will normally be eligible for a performance-based salary review the April, after you join, providing you have been with the organisation for at least 7 months.
