About the role

Our Operations Director is responsible for managing all the internal aspects of our operations including managing our P&L, ensuring the smooth running of our programme management function, and managing the contracted out support services of accounts, marketing-communications, HR, IT, legal and procurement.

This is the senior role reporting to the Managing Director with responsibility for all internal aspects of iSH’s operations, but collaborates as an equal and integral partner with the externally-facing programme delivery team. Combined, the two halves of our business have the overall aim of delivering socio-economic outcomes for the regeneration of West Cumbria and beyond.

The major components of the role are:

1. designing internal processes to ensure continuous improvement of business-as-usual activities

2. managing the procurement of external services

3. ensuring that the programme management function is delivering on target

4. monitoring, managing and reporting on our P&L to the Board and external stakeholders

5. building and engaging a diverse team of functions whether internal employees or external suppliers.

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week. Your location can be flexible although a reasonable portion of time will be spent working with colleagues in-person in West Cumbria and beyond.
