About Us:

Here at J&A Movers Ltd we are looking for a new part-time team member to join our furniture distribution team. We currently operate in 5 different locations, including Scarborough and Hull, for which our vehicles are located in Driffield. Our main income stream is the collection and distribution of furniture for a client, and it is this operation in which we have a vacancy.

The Role:

We are looking to employ a part time team member to work out of our Driffield branch, to distribute furniture for our client between Hull and Scarborough.

As part of the role, our new team member will be expected to drive a 3.5t luton van.

Our new team member will be required to a 2-week shift pattern; 3 days one week, 4 days the next, to include every Saturday. The other days during the week may vary. Sunday work IS NOT required.

Our teams start at 7.30am and get paid for 8 hours a day. Should the days jobs surpass the 8 hour mark our teams are expected to complete the full days work, and overtime WILL be paid accordingly.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE THAT CAN START IMMEDIATELY.

The main duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• To collect furniture and household items from residential and commercial properties in a professional, safe and courteous manner, whilst adhering to guidelines set out by our client.
• To deliver stock sold by the client, which includes furniture and household items, to customer properties. Items must be taken into the room of the customer’s choice, taking care to cause no damage to the property or the item.
• To complete paperwork provided by our client; which includes obtaining customer signatures after a collection or delivery.
• To dispose of unwanted or damaged stock following health and safety guidelines set out by the relevant authorities.

The Nitty Gritty:

• The salary is £1264.29 per month.
• The successful applicant will receive 'on the job' training.
• No more than 6 points on a drivers license will be tolerated.
