Project Coordinator – Special Projects
Aberdeen-hybrid between office and home
Are you a driven project coordinator with experience gained in Special Projects forwarding looking to join a global brand with ambitious growth plans in energy industries?
The role will be to oversee the daily operations ensuring SOP alignments to customers’ expectations and Db Schenker GPIS (Global project & industry solutions) agreed standards of performance.
What will you be doing?
Handling the day-to-day operations pertaining to industrial projects- Handling specific projects from PO issuing to final invoicing
- Dealing with day-to-day project operations – Air, Sea and Road imports and exports, in gauge, OOG and HL, quotations, pre alerts, invoicing
- Opening of files and issuing notices of arrival for Sea, Air, Road & Courier shipments + Cross-Trades.
- Completing shipping documents such as B/l, AWB, Tracking notes etc
- Day to day invoicing and job costing
- Quoting new traffic / new trade lanes
- Preparing costing and dealing with purchase match queries
- Liaison with suppliers on behalf of client, arranging collection, warehousing receipt and dispatch via Air, Sea or Road freight from and to UK and international destinations
- Arranging inspection, packing / repacking where required
- End to end monitoring of inbound, outbound and cross trade movements
- Arranging documentation in accordance with the project requirements and SOPs, in accordance to specific destination /client requirement – close attention to details is essential
- Ensuring we meet company DATA Quality KPI with required tracking information
- Liaising with suppliers and the network to ensure all requests have been handled and responded to in a timely manner.
About you
Experience gained in an International (Energies and heavy industries) projects environment, in all modes of freight operations, freight procedures and related projects processes is required- Good understanding of customs formalities and procedures
- Organised, committed, quick and accurate
- Must have the ability to work with own initiatives and in a team
- Computer literate with a good command of Outlook and Excel
- Attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
