ABOUT US
Established 30 years ago, Turning Tides is a multifunctional, complex needs homelessness charity. Our mission is to end local homelessness.
We have gone from supporting a handful of people in the coastal town of Worthing to providing a range of services to over 1,700 people in Worthing, Adur, Littlehampton, Horsham and Mid Sussex. We have over 10,000 supporters, 300 volunteers and 160 staff members to date.
THE SERVICE
We are excited that following a complete refurbishment of our Manor Road property and with our commitment to provide quality high support accommodation; this service will be offering a high support residence in Worthing town centre. With options for tailored, specialist provision; onsite activity and multiagency support, this service will be a genuine place of opportunity.
You will be part of a team, tasked with developing, shaping and evaluating the service to meet the unique needs and aspirations of clients, including those who are actively using substances, have a dual diagnosis or mental health conditions or have experienced multiple exclusions from services.
We work closely with the local authority with the aim of ending the need to sleep rough or use insecure or temporary accommodation. We offer a personalised approach to work with people to manage risk and reduce associated harm from substance use and multiple exclusion. This accommodation will provide a vital opportunity to each individual, to provide a path away from homelessness.

THE ROLE
Our Manor Road high support service will have a new team in place ready for January 2023. This is an exciting opportunity for resilient; skilled; highly motivated individuals to join the new team at our service in Worthing.
