We’re looking for you to Support the development and optimisation of propositions from concept through to incubation and then live. Dedicated to the value streams of Help me Borrow, Spend & Save and Protect as per the requirement, including Payments & Money Services propositions. You’ll utilise a range of Proposition Development tools and techniques and work in cross functional scrum teams as part of the SAFe delivery approach. Bring the ‘best of Tesco and Clubcard’ to identify and deliver great customer and business outcomes!
- Track record in developing products and propositions, ideally in the financial sector, but certainly in retail. Customer focused and able to display successes in great customer deliveries. Understanding of working in Agile teams and ideally SAFe (Scale Agile Framework)
- Products/Services Management and Development: Developing all aspects of a product or service so that it achieves its maximum impact and value in the market.
- Commercial Acumen: Understanding of the business environment and objectives to develop solutions.
- Market Research and Analysis: Works on using research and analysis to develop a comprehensive understanding of market conditions to facilitate the success of a brand, product or service.
- Understands Customer Needs: Articulates the customer needs in the customer’s business language and business context. Adds value to partnerships, articulates customer objectives, Uncovers customer Key Performance Indicators, Understands customer context.
- Data Collection and Analysis: analysing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
- Compliance Management: Achieving full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in management and/or operations.
The Role
- Proposition/Service/Channel Development: Define, deliver, and adapt products to meet customer needs. Moving from insights, to discovering concepts, to testing with customers, to prototyping, piloting and then launching uniquely Tesco propositions.
- Customer Needs/Experience Research: Work with Customer Insights and Analytics to complete research and analyse data to develop and/or support a sound understanding of customer segments, trends, needs, and expectations.
- Agility: Promote an agile atmosphere within teams by emphasising nimble action in service of constant customer focus. Works in a cross functional scrum team following the SAFe methodology, iterating solutions for customers and supporting regular releases.
- Partner: Lead and facilitate exchange of ideas and task collaboration in fluid small sized teams. Develop a strong relationship with Tesco to help drive the innovation agenda
- Innovation Strategy, Pipeline and Roadmap: Provide the means (e.g., research, ideas, solutions) to prototype innovation business cases with the potential to shape the innovation strategy, pipeline, and road map.
- Innovation Implementation: Support the development of new innovation by executing different responsibilities in the development plan.
- Culture of Innovation: Promote a culture of innovation by creating solutions that boost creativity, innovation, and collaboration, such as idea generation platforms, jam sessions, and hackathons.
- Performance Management: Prioritise own workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality, and timeliness; use performance management frameworks to improve personal performance.
