Public Protection Administration Support Volunteer - Crawley Job at Sussex Police
Public Protection Teams are responsible for Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults as well as Investigating Criminal Offences. We often work in partnership with other agencies. The work can be complex, emotionally charged and is always sensitive. Public Protection Teams require administrative support to carry out their statutory functions and the use of volunteers will free up warranted officers, civilian investigators and civilian staff.
The Role
The team are looking to recruit a volunteer to come and support them with administration. The Public Protection team are a unique environment, and the volunteer will be working with them to protecting the most vulnerable in our society. They will gain a unique insight into the mechanisms of safeguarding, public protection, partnership working and Social Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Ad Hoc Admin Support
- Filing, transit of items and collating of paperwork
- Research in support of Investigations and Safeguarding functions
- Spreadsheet analysis and maintenance
- Ensuring compliance via email communications
- Review and collation of data to support performance
- Feedback and Survey support from stakeholders
Skills & Experience
- Good communication skills
- Basic experience of Excel and Word
- Good analytical skills
- Teamwork
