We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Qualified Health Clinician (Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Learning Disability Nurse, Behaviour Therapist/ Analyst, Psychology or Social Worker) to work in the Intensive Support Team (IST) and to bring your wealth of professional experience into the mix.
The IST provides clinical support and resource to adults and children with a learning disability presenting with behaviours that challenge. The post holder would complement the work of the Community Learning Disability Team (CLDT) and Learning Disability Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team (CAMHS) and assess and develop strategies that reduce the need to communicate distress in maladaptive ways, within the framework of Positive Behaviour Support and Applied Behaviour Analysis.
