The Role And Hours

Here at Powderham Vets, we have a great opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our well-established practice. We appreciate work life balance can be a struggle, so we are open to flexible rota patterns, allowing that important family time or those extra hours for your hobbies. We would be able to offer a role between 16 – 40 hours, to enable us to support the most ideal work life balance for you. Powderham are very lucky to have dedicated out of hours providers looking after our patients, to allow our team deserved down time.

Why are we hiring?

We are a 2-branch practice with a small and close-knit team. Powderham Vets are seeking a fourth RVN to join our friendly team. We are well equipped with digital and dental x ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, in house lab and laser. We are keen to encourage new ideas such as Antibiotic stewardship, Infection Prevention Control, digital innovations and sustainable practice protocols.

About the Team

We are a PSS accredited, progressive, primarily small animal practice in South Devon. Our friendly team consists of 2 experienced Vets, a Head Nurse, 2 RVN’s, 1 SVN and 5 support staff. You would be an integral member of a supportive and helpful team. Powderham are constantly striving to maintain a high level of care and looking for further ideas for Quality Improvement.

Location

Powderham Vets are based in this glorious part of Devon, with both sea and moors on your doorstep. This is an idyllic place for those outdoors sports – paddle boarding, hiking, horse riding, cycling, dog walking or swimming!

The Offer

Salary can vary depending on your experience levels, we could offer the right candidate up to £29,000!
Additionally, we are very keen to support certificate study and professional development, and we will strongly support the successful candidate in developing their clinical interests further.
