Residential Childcare Worker
- Salary scale: £20,280 - £ 26,041, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Hours per week: 40, as part of a rota which includes a combination of early and late shifts and rotational weekend working.

The main duties and responsibilities
- As part of a team, you will assist in planning to support young people’s daily routines and care plan.
- You will keep records as required to support the progress and development of outcomes.
- You will work in partnership with families to support family time.
- You will liaise with other professionals, such as police officers, healthcare providers and social workers to support quality care for the young people we look after.
Qualifications and experience
- HNC in Social Care, SVQ level 3 in Care or equivalent qualification, or the ability to undertake these qualifications.
- Experience of working with young people or providing care and support to vulnerable people is essential.
- Experience of working within the social care sector is desirable.
- Experience of working within residential child care is desirable.
- Experience of working within other professions is desirable, such as health, community work and educational provision.

Other information
- Residential work is regulated by the SSSC, and you would be expected to register within the required timescales.
- This role requires a PVG check
