The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Sales Executive within our Abrasive Systems Division, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Helping end user customers improve their processes and enhance their productivity through our industry leading abrasives.
  • Developing a territory business plan to prioritise account calls, activities, penetration, and product use.
  • Driving utilisation of the 3M Abrasive Systems Division product portfolio, according to the planned product mix objectives, through demonstration and trials.
  • Find and develop new end users increasing end user loyalty to 3M Abrasive products across the territory by using abrasive product, application, and process knowledge. Improving knowledge and providing training and education to customers.
  • Developing and managing favourable relationships with key end user decision makers. whilst developing and maintaining close working relationships with territory channel partners built on agreed business plans, promotional activities, joint working, and end user support.
  • To manage margin and pricing requirements in line with the business expectations aligned to implementing and delivering on any national marketing or sales programmes
Your Skills, Behaviours and Expertise
Full training will be given. To be successful 3M is looking for candidates who have consistently demonstrated the following Behaviours and skills:
  • Driven, tenacious, self-motivated and conscientious.
  • Good listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven sales performer with track record of strong sales performance within the Industrial or similar market.
  • Demonstration of good verbal & written communication skills.
  • A team player with strong relationship building and networking skills.
  • Strong resilience and ability to overcome challenges.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Works with honesty and integrity in all interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc) essential.
Qualifications
  • A good level of general education is required
  • Degree qualification/equivalent or apprenticeship is preferred
Role Location: Field based covering the Mid-South territory
Ideal candidate location: Candidates ideally living on territory, this territory includes but not exclusive to the following Postcodes: St.Albans, Cambridge, Coventry, Hemel Hempstead, Ipswich, Leicester, Luton, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Norwich, Oxford, Peterborough, Reading, Stevenage
Sales territory: Mid-South UK Region
Remuneration
Salary - £high-reaching dependent on skills and experience plus excellent benefits package.
Bonus – SIP (Sales Incentive Plan)
