About the role

Synthesia is the world's largest AI video platform, serving over 50,000 clients, including many S&P 500 enterprises. As our Senior Designer you'll work on evolving and designing our platform templates. It's a role that requires broad experience across motion, UX/UI, VFX and graphic design. The right person can combine those areas to not only deliver pristine designs, but to ever push what the creation experience Synthesia offers. We know that generative AI is transforming video production - now we just have to invent the right formats!

If you want to work with, and learn about the future of video creation, this is your chance. We are looking for a passionate Senior Designer who believes that creating state-of-art video templates is the best way to facilitate AI video creation.

To succeed in this role, you should be curious about generative media, understand and promote storytelling through your video templates, demonstrate attention to detail and have a strong sense of ownership. We expect that you bring a strong POV to templates design, and yet you should be willing to listen to others and work with senior leaders to learn from them. You are good at asking questions and finding new ways to look at things. You excel at visualising the future of creation. Presentation design, motion graphics and video editing also inspire you. You should be excited to jump into our product to learn how to use our AI video platform to create stunning video experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualise and design innovative AI video templates using our platform
• Integrate UI and web design principles into AI video design
• Develop motion graphics and animations to enhance the video experience using our platform
• Edit short videos from client's materials to integrate into the template while respecting brand guidelines
• Manipulate photos to ensure high-quality visual elements
• Take ownership of assigned projects and see them through from ideation to final delivery
• Ensure deadlines are set up and respected, with great attention to detail
• Always push the boundaries of creation, experimenting your way to the future of video

Requirements:

• Minimum seven years of experience in video, web and/or product design, preferably in a digital agency or video production company
• Proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Advanced knowledge of web and UI design principles, animation and video editing
• Familiarity with presentation design software, such as PowerPoint, Keynote and Google Slides
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with different stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
• Critical thinking mindset oriented to problem-solving
• Passion for brand guidelines and consistency
• Familiarity with chatGPT and Midjourney is very welcome
