There is an exciting opportunity to join a high end growing house builder due to our continued growth and development. Located in Wetherby, we are looking to recruit a Senior/Technical Engineer to join the Technical Department.
What you will do:
Experience in a similar role with a residential developer or external consultancy.
Working knowledge of the Building Regulations / NHBC Technical Standards.
Assist with management of sites as agreed with the Head of Technical.
Co-ordinate production of surveys & reports required for the development.
Potential new site evaluation, preparing engineering designs and investigating any technical problems.
Attend design meetings with Highways and Water authorities to ascertain their requirements for new developments.
Coordinating consultants to produce engineering drawings to achieve technical approvals from local authorities.
Check engineering drawings and details for accuracy, correctness, value engineering and commercial suitability.
Co-ordinate submission of designs and securing technical approvals for agreements such as S104, S38 and S278.
Monitor progress of the adoption of roads, sewers and public open space areas
Obtaining Management Company quotations, review and provide comparison for approval.
Manage the drawing registers & filing systems
Distribute information as required
Produce bespoke drawings where necessary to suit specific requirements
Work closely with the Design, Technical Teams and Local Authorities
Attend internal and external meetings
Collaboratively work with other internal departments.
Office based role with regular development site visits, as and when required.
What you will have:
Excellent organisation and time management with ability to multitask.
Experienced within the House Building Sector
In-depth knowledge of building regulations and adoptable standards
Excellent communication and organisational capabilities
Proficient in AutoCAD or any other suitable CAD software
