We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Analyst to join a friendly team at our Leeds office. The main purpose of the role is to participate in a variety of analytical and technical assignments that provide for problem diagnosis and solutions documentation, implementation, administration, support, and maintenance of a variety of hardware, software and network products in an information technology infrastructure environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to business users/ICT BAU support staff/ICT Development team. Working alone, or as part of a team, analyse the underlying issues arising from investigations into requirements and problems and identify available options for consideration.
• Display a systematic, disciplined approach to problem solving with good attention to detail.
• Develop operational, installation/configuration and upgrade procedures, to be used by other staff, for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software.
• Ensure technical configuration documentation is complete and accurate. Support continuous improvement programs in response to support service metrics, customer feedback and process efficiencies.
• Where appropriate take ownership of the problem management process to identify root cause of critical incidents.
• Reconcile issues across support teams to improve Incident Management Process.
• Lead on the implementation of technical development projects.
• Provide coaching to Infrastructure analysts working on projects to build knowledge and skills.
• Monitor technical progress, informing project management of major technical issues and making recommendations on their resolution.
• Ensure the organisation’s network and overall system capability adheres to the Cyber Essential framework.
• Ensure Information Security risks are identified, reported and actions taken to reduce the occurrence and impact of security incidents.
• Carry out testing of business continuity plans and maintain the development and testing of all Disaster Recovery plans within the IT Infrastructure.

Requirements:

• An understanding of ITIL; in particular change and incident management.
• Knowledge of computer operating systems (Windows, Linux)
• Microsoft Infrastructure: Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, SCCM, Endpoint Manager etc
• Knowledge of networking/telecommunications technologies. LAN/WAN/IP
• Understanding of database administration, i.e. SQL/Oracle
• Knowledge of Backup solutions.
• Documentation/Technical Authoring.
• Knowledge of Citrix/thin client technologies

Experience Desirable:

• Microsoft Certified Role associated with Infrastructure
