Are you a natural creative with a ‘way with words’ looking to work in the world of beauty? Well, you’re in luck. We're looking for a creative and talented Senior Marketing Content Writer to join Tropic's vibrant, rapidly growing team. This person will lead copy projects and campaigns showing off our skincare products, writing blogs, social posts, website pages, top-line messaging, newsletters etc. to convey the USPs of each of our skincare products in a playful yet scientific way.

Your role will be to help ensure our written content for customers and our brand Ambassadors is empowering, educational, innovative and accurate using the Tropic tone of voice. You’ll be responsible for creating engaging, inspiring and informative written content to showcase products, write text for PR campaigns, marketing campaigns, our brand magazine Glow, video scripts and a whole array of forums.

You'll work closely with Marketing to ensure all written materials align with brand language, fulfil their purpose and are of the highest standard. If you’re passionate about beauty and writing exciting and innovative copy, this might just be the perfect role for you!

RESPONSIBILITIES *will include (but not limited to)

• Lead campaigns and projects.
• Name new products and makeup shades.
• Write and proof copy for the website, blog, packaging, magazine, emails and social (along with the rest of the writing team).
• Build an understanding of our customers and the Tropic tone of voice to create engaging and relatable written content.
• Research and read up on the content and trends other brands and journalists are sharing to continue to drive our written content forward within the industry.

• Take complex ideas and information and convey it in a concise, easy-to-read way.
• Produce ideas for new content and written materials to further improve the content we provide for our customers.
• Drive forward SEO strategy on digital platforms.
• Support the Marketing Team in writing engaging copy for, proofing and signing off ad hoc content tasks.
• Overseeing communications to our brand Ambassadors, including educational resources and skincare training.
• Keen to work towards a management/leadership role by helping and mentoring our team of Content Writers.

*ABOUT YOU
*

• A keen interest in the beauty industry, trends and ingredients – experience in beauty is preferred, interest in or willingness to learn about beauty and skincare is essential.
• Adaptable with a can-do attitude – things change quickly in our founder-led business, so we need someone who can adapt and develop with the times.
• Extremely high attention to detail and proven proof-reading abilities.
• Experience as a writer and portfolio of previous work is essential.
• Previous experience writing for different platforms and audiences.
• An ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.

• Previous experience writing short-form, snappy content as well as longer-form copy.
• Be adept at increasing digital readership through SEO strategy.

• Full time role: 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.

• Office is conveniently located just 3 minutes’ walk from Beddington Lane Tram stop, which is connected to East Croydon and Wimbledon - both 20 minutes away. Approx. 30 - 35 minutes travel time from South / South West London.
• Hybrid working (3 days a week in the office).

• 25 days annual leave plus other fantastic perks.
• Starting salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (subject to experience).
• Position is available immediately.
