Overview:
Camden Routes off The Streets Team is commissioned by Camden Council to support rough sleepers, and those coming to police or council attention for anti-social street activity, such as street drinking, public drug use, street-based sex working and begging.
We offer support to leave the streets and engage with health and social care services. We run an assertive outreach service and a building based, multi-agency hub, where a large variety of health and social care services are available for homeless people.
Responsibilities:
Camden RTS is looking for sessional workers to support both our outreach, hotspot and building based hub teams. Successful candidates will have a passion to support some of London’s most vulnerable homeless people, off the streets and into accommodation, as well as, into health and social care services.
Sessional work may include shifts on the street with other outreach workers and/or hotspot shifts with partners from the police and council workers as well as, mental health, physical health and substance misuse services. We also offer sessional work staffing our building based hub, offering assessment and key working to our homeless clients. Hours and days worked can vary from full time 5 days a week, over a 7 day rota, to one or two days a week. Timetables can be negotiated once a post has been offered.
Salary Range (pro rata if part time): £18.81/Hr.
