We have an excellent opportunity for a proactive and flexible person with strong interpersonal and customer service skills to join our busy Farms Maintenance Team. As Site and Maintenance Worker you will undertake maintenance of all UK Donkey Sanctuary sites, including grounds, gardens, tracks, willows, hedges, and memorial trees. Further duties will include supporting office based movements and preparation and dismantling around special events and volunteer experience days.

About you:

· You will be able to demonstrate previous ground maintenance experience.

· You will possess experience of operating garden maintenance machinery.

· You will have practical and safe working knowledge of manual handling.

· A natural communicator, you will demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

· You will possess tractor driving experience.

About the role:

Your principal duties and responsibilities will include –

· Grass cutting, weeding and strimming; hedging, planting, stewardship schemes, woodland management and maintaining memorial trees.

· Carrying out maintenance work, including painting, the upkeep of benches and memorial plaques.

· Maintaining the recycling areas including recycling of paper, cardboard, plastics, metal, stone, soil and garden brush waste.

· Assisting the Fencing and Gardening teams as required.

· Regularly assisting internal departments in loading and unloading stock and transporting equipment and furniture.

· Assisting with preparation and dismantling before and after special events such as Summer Fair, Candlelight, Donkey Week, Memorial Day, and supporting conservation and volunteer events and school visits,
