This is a permanent role based in Port Talbot and available immediately!
Due to continued growth we are supporting this large, well known and established Company to fill this excellent opportunity for a Water Treatment Technician. The salary band is wide in order to encourage both Trainees and experienced Water Technicians. The basic salary is between 22K and 28K. You will also gain 25 days’ holiday plus the Bank Holidays, excellent contributory pension scheme, (10% employer contribution) life assurance, private medical (employee cover), income protection
As a Water Treatment technician you will work on a single site providing them with water solutions from reuse, industrial irrigation, municipal and drinking water needs. This site is very large and you will need to be a Driver - vans are on site to get you around the territory.
The role will entail lab testing, desalination, advanced membrane, separation solutions and water reuse and waste water management and process. You will need to have some previous Lab experience.
The Water Treatment Technician will:
Have a previous experience in Laboratory Testing
Previous experience of completing data entry and reports using Microsoft based packages
Have a clean and valid driving licence, company vehicle provided on site.
Possess exemplary communication skills both written and oral
Have excellent organisational skills
The successful Water Treatment Technician will work closely with the Account manager to ensure that all work is carried out, for clients in a safe manner observing Customer and Company and legislative requirements. Working to the company’s agreement, at each site and making necessary recommendations. You will ensure that a service plan is in place that will contain but won’t be limited to the scope of supply services and products.
For this position you will need:
Either previous Water testing experience or a degree or equivalent in chemistry
Worked in a laboratory and tested liquids and monitored results
A full driving licence as you will be driving around a very large site daily.
The hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and there will be on call rate, overtime and a range of benefits to suit this market leader.
