Salary: £20,608 - £21,335 per annum pro rata

We are recruiting for Dundee Carers Support Service which offers personalised support to adults in Dundee, who are unpaid Carers supporting a friend or family member who is experiencing mental health challenges.

Penumbra provides services that are designed to empower the people we work with, and Support Workers assist individuals to work towards their individual outcomes and identified goals, as detailed in their personal plan. This may include focusing on the Carers own wellbeing through an element of emotional support, exploring self-management techniques, or helping them to discover and connect with resources, amenities and meaningful activities within their community.

Support Workers offer authenticity and a unique insight that can enable and empower positive wellbeing. Within this role, the Support Worker will use their own lived experience of mental health challenges and their caring role experiences to inspire hope in people who use the service, as well as share coping and self-management techniques.
