Train Driver Trainer/Assessor Job at Deutsche Bahn AG
We have an opportunity for you to join the Operational Training team as a Trainer/Assessor/Instructor here at DB Cargo (UK), throughout the UK.
If you don’t hold a training qualification but possess the right attitude and desire to learn, we will support your training to become a qualified Operational Trainer for our trainee train crews.
In order to be considered for this position you will need to be a qualified Train Driver and passionate about developing the next generation of Train Drivers.
Work collaboratively to deliver the annual Operational Training programme.
Ensure that Operational Training programmes are current and in line with industry standards and documents.
Identify resources required to deliver high quality operational training across the business.
Working in collaboration to ensure resources such as locos/wagons are available for the training location.
Set an example of a positive safety culture within Operational Training.
Proactive approach to the delivery of operational training.
Manage own time effectively, incorporating sufficient time to prepare for courses, and communicate outcomes of courses to the stakeholders within the business.
Look at ways to continuously improve the operational training and ways to reduce unnecessary expenditure.
Accountable for own professional development and technical competency.
Contribute to a operational training topic in agreement with the Operational Training Manager and topic responsibility framework.
Support development and delivery of other training programmes as per business need (eg European Train Control System/Safety/First Aid).
A European Train Driver license.
Experience in the delivery and assessment of training (this is beneficial but not essential).
Ability to communicate to stakeholders within the business.
Experience working with customers.
Ability to liaise with HR colleagues to create a process for all trainees.
Knowledge of training programmes.
Knowledge of European Train Driving License legislation.
Ability to travel and lodge throughout UK as required.
