We are looking for exceptional individuals who are dedicated to working with children and young people and keen to take up this brilliant opportunity of a fixed term post with a year of CBT training fully funded. Under the recruit to train process we are in the position to offer CBT trainee contracts (AfC Band 6), working in conjunction with the University of Northumbria at Newcastle . The course starts January 2023 and will last 1 year. While undertaking training it is anticipated that you will attend teaching days at least twice a week (face to face and teams, subject to change under COVID restrictions) with the University. The remaining 3 days will be used for supervision, study and therapeutic clinical work.
This intensive training post will equip the post holder to provide interventions based on CYP-IAPT core principles and also evidence based interventions within the fields of CBT. The post- holder is expected to attend and fulfil all the requirements of the training element of the post. Training will focus on specific areas of work and if completed successfully will mean you are able to apply to the BABCP for provisional accreditation as a CBT therapist.
As these are post-graduate courses you will need to evidence your ability to study at post graduate level.
