About the role

We are looking for weekend/casual wedding and civil partnership representatives to undertake pre ceremony administration on the day of the ceremony and the conducting of ceremonies.

You will be required to work in the Four Seasons Marriage room at the Civic Centre on a Saturday on a rota basis dependent upon demand as well as ad hoc ceremonies at approved venues across the borough on Saturdays and Sundays as demand determines.

You will be working as part of a pair to facilitate a couples’ big day whilst conducting this within the statutory requirements of weddings and civil partnerships.

About you

You must have confidence in dealing with the public and be capable of communicating clearly and have the confidence to conduct ceremonies in front of a large audience. This requires a friendly and welcoming personality, organisational skills, and an authoritative nature to be in control of emotional events at all times in accordance with relevant legislation, core principles, key aims and Council objectives.

In order to do this, you will need to:

• Be confident in public speaking to large audiences

• Be flexible

• Be able to deliver excellent customer service

• Have good organisational skills

• Have a ‘can do’ attitude
