The Workforce Wellbeing Service has four pathways, which are Occupational Health, Staff Support, Musculoskeletal and Wellbeing. We have three departments based in Chester, Pensby and Macclesfield. Our team supports and promotes health and wellbeing for staff within CWP and we are passionate about continually developing our service in line with current legislation and guidance from NHS England.
We are proud to be a Safe, Effective, Quality Occupational Health Service (SEQOHS) accredited service and we are supportive and flexible and also value the health and wellbeing of our own team.
In addition to the services we provide to the Trust, we have a number of external clients.
Main duties of the job
The role will be primarily based in our Chester department and Macclesfield department. However, you may be required to travel to our Pensby department from time to time and includes working on Fridays.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and committed individual to join our team, to help improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of our staff.
Providing a range of services, to include; health assessments, immunisations, health surveillance, pre-employment screening, participating in health promotion initiatives, clinical audit, phlebotomy, management of sharps and body fluid exposures.
Ideally have previous occupational health experience, demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development, a strong communicator who is able to work well independently and collaboratively.
Well organised and able to work under pressure, ensuring that Service delivery is efficient and effective, as well as delivering core activities within agreed target times.
We are a paper light Service, so excellent IT skills would be beneficial and you will also need to be confident at communicating with clients face to face, by email and by telephone. Maintain electronic records.

All new clinical support staff will be required to have completed or working towards the Care Certificate (CWP In-house 2 day training to be completed within 6 months of start date).
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £13 per year applies.
New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
